Kim Delaney is an American actor who is most well-known for her role as the role of Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she won the Emmy Award. Her appearances comprise All My Children Philly CSI: Miami & Army Wives. Delaney is the daughter of an executive in the United Auto Workers who was also the mother of her children. Delaney has four older brothers. As a child, Delaney fantasized of becoming an official reporter for the court. She began modelling at the age of 14 and later landed commercial roles when she moved from the south of England to New York. Her first job as an actor came as a young girl in the 1981 soap opera All My Children. The career of Delaney has been filled by a myriad of TV films and dramas. Her personal life unlike her professional one has nt been a success and has not been happy. She is skilled and gorgeous, has struggled with drinking in the past. Her marriages have also been unsuccessful twice. She lost custody of her son in 2005.
